HIGH ISLAND
Some residential and commercial users will be without power Monday, according to Entergy Texas.
The company is upgrading equipment, including replacing utility poles and wires, Entergy said in a news release. The company also will be installing smart devices that will “reduce the duration and frequency of outages.”
The outage is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The outage will affect homes and businesses between Port Bolivar and Caplan, according to the company.
“We understand that any time without power is inconvenient, and we will do everything we can to limit the duration of this outage,” the company said. “When crews complete their work, they’ll move to restore power in segments.”
Entergy said it was notifying customers about the outage by mail, phone, email and text.
