Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says that his deputies have now recovered a stolen trailer and a bush-hog in the same area where a stolen tractor was found, and he says the crimes, which originated in Galveston County, are directly related.
Burby said this began on Thursday with a routine call on Farm to Market Road 2460 in the Bon Wier Community, and that’s when a deputy discovered a 2020 model Kubota tractor which was listed as stolen from Dickinson.
A 20’ trailer and a Land Pride brand bush-hog were stolen along with the tractor, according to the sheriff.
Meanwhile, Burby says that his deputies have now identified persons of interest related to the case and criminal charges are pending.
