An 18-year-old Houston man is facing a capital murder charge in the slaying of a man Monday near the Greater Greenspoint area.
Christian Miranda is charged in connection to the fatal shooting earlier this week of 21-year-old Nathan Orozco in the 1000 block of W. Greens Road, according to court records and authorities. Online court records did not have a lawyer listed in this case for Miranda Thursday evening.

A 21-year-old man — who Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and court records identified as Orozco — and his friend, in addition to three men in a red truck, went to that area Monday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. An altercation broke out at a dead end street and Orozco was fatally shot, according to authorities.
The three men in the red truck fled, and Orozco’s friend remained there and has been cooperating with investigators, according to a sheriff’s office release.
Gonzalez said in a tweet robbery “appeared to be the motive” behind the killing.
