
Tech returns to action after a 12-day hiatus
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders return to action Sunday afternoon when the Oklahoma Sooners visit United Supermarkets Arena for a 2 p.m. contest.
In addition to being the first game action in 12 days for Tech, the game will also be the first home game the Lady Raiders have played in nearly a month. Tech was last home on Dec. 2 against Georgia.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Lady Raiders last took to the hardwood back on Dec. 21 for the second and final game of the West Palm Beach Invitational. Playing without All-American Vivian Gray and without freshman Hadi Faye, Tech fell to the nationally ranked Tigers 74-60. Tech was supposed to return from Christmas Break on Wednesday night against UIW, but the game was cancelled due to health and safety concerns inside the Lady Raider program.

One of the best offensive teams in the country, Oklahoma enters Sunday’s game averaging a blistering 89.1 points per game. The Sooners have reached at least 90 points in a game six times and are second in the NCAA in points per game. Led by Taylor Robertson, four different Sooners are averaging in double-figures. Robertson has scored at least 17 points in 10 of OU’s 12 games including the last nine in-a-row. Robertson has five 20-point games this season. Ana Llanusa is also having a strong season. Llanusa is averaging 17.3 points and 4.1 rebounds this season. Like Robertson, she scored at a high rate, scoring at least 16 points in nine of 10 games this season. Oklahoma enters this weekend’s contest ranked No. 34 overall in the most recent (12/31) NET rankings. The Sooners are one of the best passing teams in the country, having averaged 20 assists per game. That mark is also good for second in the NCAA.
