This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Elizabeth and Ajax.
Elizabeth (A027960) is a domestic short hair tortie-and-white spayed female. At about 2 1/2 years old and finished raising her six kittens, she’s ready for her own home.
Her dark tortie coat is sleek and shiny, and her tiny white paws are immaculate. Elizabeth is gently playful and likes to act silly for an audience. She’s quiet most of the time and a bit shy.
After a proper introduction, she’s ready for cuddles and purring. Come meet the lovely Elizabeth and fall in love.
Ajax (A027594) appears to be a Bernese Mountain dog mix, at about 2 years old. His sibling was adopted some time back, but he’s still the happy and sweet guy he has always been.
He appears social with other dogs, people, even children. Our volunteers always enjoy the time they spend with him, but it’s time for him to go to the home he deserves.
Elizabeth and Ajax will be available Tuesday through Thursday for $42.50 each. Pet of the week adoptions include spay or neuter, rabies vaccination and microchip. For more information, call 409-948-2485 or visit gchd.org. These and other pets are available at 3412 25th Ave N. in Texas City.
