The Waxahachie Running Club hosts its annual Dumbest Run 5K/marathon at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, around the historic Ellis County Courthouse in Downtown Waxahachie. This is a pick your own distance event where you circle the courthouse to your heart’s content. Walk a mile, run a 5K or do a full marathon.
