SAULT STE. MARIE — The Escanaba Eskymos scored five unanswered goals in a 7-3 hockey victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Blue Devils here Friday night.
Garrett Gorsuch gave the Blue Devils a 3-2 lead slightly more than four minutes into the second period before Brayden Martineau tied the score midway through the period.
Sawyer LaMarche gave Esky a 4-3 lead with 6:55 left in the second and Karson Krutina made it 5-3 at 5:07.
Martineau added his second goal and Jayger LaMarche ended the scoring with 1:54 remaining in the contest.
Sawyer LaMarche and Trevor Streichert netted first-period goals for the Eskymos (2-1).
Randen Blair and Ethan McDonald scored for Sault in the opening frame.
Esky outshot the Blue Devils 47-20.
