A welfare check Monday in west Harris County led deputies to a dead woman with signs of trauma, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
The woman, who Sgt. Dennis Wolfford described as elderly, was found in the home in the 3400 block of Boxelder Drive, near Addicks Clodine and Westpark Tollway. She appeared to have trauma, he said, adding there was an “extensive amount” of blood.
Officials are trying to locate the woman’s daughter, who Wolfford said was at the residence.
No further information was immediately available.
