There has been a lot going on for the West End of Marquette County and the GINCC is getting back to normal activities, again, after another wave of the pandemic.
On Wednesday, March 23, from 5-7pm will be our first Business After Hours of 2022.
Dan Perkins Construction will be hosting the event to celebrate their 25th Anniversary in business. It will take place at their main office and shop at 200 Washington St, Ishpeming at the corner of Co. Rd 581 across from the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.
Business After Hours are a community networking event for businesses, organizations and general public. Free to attend, BAHs offer face to face conversations that run the gambit from casual business chat to reconnecting with people you may not have seen in a while.
If you don’t remember how they go, here a quick rundown. The event starts at 5pm with a registration table to check in with for name tags and door prize slips, business cards are encouraged both for the door prize drawing and to give out to new acquaintances.
The first hour is general socializing with hors d’oeuvres and drinks. At around 6pm there is a welcome from the GINCC with an introduction of the host. Dan Perkins will have some announcements to share regarding a community give-back opportunity and an update on Partridge Creek Farm, a project he has been involved with since its start.
After the welcoming, the door prizes will be drawn for the lucky winners. You must be present to win a prize.
Closing with a thank you to attendees and an announcement of future events the remaining time is taken up with last chats and good byes until next time.
BAHs are a keystone activity for the GINCC. We are really looking forward to getting back together with our members and community. Again, these events are free to attend and open to the public. Even if you are not a business owner or a current member, they are a good opportunity to learn more about our community and the people here.
