City National Bank

City National Bank has announced Tom Dixon has been named senior vice president and district manager over its retail banking efforts in the Shenandoah Valley and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

Dixon joined City in 2019 as region manager of the bank’s Beckley-Lewisburg, West Virginia, market area, which he continues to lead in his current role.

Prior to joining City, Dixon spent 10 years in senior banking leadership roles at Summit Community Bank and Huntington Bank. His broad experience also includes sales leadership roles with mortgage and insurance companies.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dixon is a native of Stafford and has called West Virginia home since 2002.

Greenfield Senior Living

Kathleen Wilcox has been named the new director of community relations and marketing for Greenfield Senior Living and Greenfield Reflections of Strasburg.

Wilcox earned an associate degree in paramedicine from Lord Fairfax Community College and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Longwood University. She is in the application process for a master’s degree in marketing and sales.

A native of Richmond, she moved to Winchester in 2014 to work for Valley Health as a team lead for its urgent cares, then went to work for Frederick County Fire and Rescue as a firefighter/flight paramedic for five years before coming to Greenfield. She lives in Clear Brook and has a 5-year-old daughter.

First Bank

Candace Davenport has been appointed to the new position of vice president and IDEA officer for First Bank.

In her role as IDEA Officer, she will report directly to the chief executive officer to help ensure that First Bank’s culture continues to be inclusive and that the workforce is representative of the diversity within the communities it serves.

In addition to her role at First Bank, she serves on the boards of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Fremont Street Nursery School, Laurel Center and the Douglas Alumna Association, and serves on the family services committee for Habitat for Humanity Winchester-Fredrick County. She previously served on the board of the Sinclair Medical Clinic and Equity Advisory Committee for Winchester Public Schools.

Davenport has over 25 years of management experience, serving most recently as the Banking Center Manager at the First Bank Winchester Financial Center, the largest of the bank’s 20 banking centers across the state. She earned an associate degree from Lord Fairfax Community College, graduated from the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber’s Community Leadership Program, and more recently completed a certificate program from the Virginia Bankers Association’s Executive Leadership Institute.

Coldwell Banker Premier

Winchester-based Coldwell Banker Premier has expanded into the Hampton Roads market with its latest merger with James & Lee Realty in Virginia Beach. Coldwell Banker Premier, one of the most successful companies in the 116-year-old Coldwell Banker brand, now has 16 offices and approximately 250 agents serving the Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington, D.C., areas.

This move comes several weeks after Coldwell Banker Premier partnered with Coldwell Banker Resort Realty in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and Coldwell Banker SKS Realty in South Central, Pennsylvania.

Edward Jones

Bret Hrek, of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Front Royal, recently earned the firm’s Jim Harrod Award for exceptional achievement in building client relationships.
